The Colilert-18 test simultaneously detects total coliforms and Escherichia coli in water, giving you results in 18 hours.
Characteristics
The Colilert-18 test uses patented defined substrate technology (DST) ONPG and MUG nutrient indicators to detect coliforms and E. coli. Coliforms use their enzyme β-galactosidase to metabolize ONPG and change its color from colorless to yellow.
