The Advanced Breast Exam Simulator offers unparalleled realism for teaching both clinical breast examination and self-examination. In reality, your tissue density varies within the simulated breast, just as it does in a live patient.

Characteristics

  • The instructor can insert tumors of various sizes (1-4 cm in diameter), shapes (round, oval, irregular/stellate), and densities for an expanded combination of training scenarios.
  • The tumors represent adenomas, cysts, malignant tumors and enlarged lymph nodes. The torso is correctly positioned in a supine position and allows access to both armpits.
  • The trainer features palpable ribs, sternum and clavicles, and enlarged lymph nodes in the axillary and subclavicular areas. Orange peel skin with inflammation, inverted nipple, skin dimples and asymmetry are also depicted on the incredibly realistic skin.
  • The Life/form® Advanced Breast Exam Simulator is designed for examination in the supine position, but can also be used in a standing position if desired. Training can also be performed without the skin overlay.
  • Includes a rigid bottom, right and left breast inserts, skin overlay, three sets of tumors (27 lumps), nine soft lumps to represent soft breast tissue, one hard lump to represent chest wall infiltration, baby powder, hard carrying case, and instruction manual.
