The PT 501 contains six interchangeable bearings, in which various damages can be demonstrated and explained. The radial load of the bearing can be adjusted over a wide range using the loading device. The drive is carried out by an electric motor with variable number of revolutions using a frequency converter. An acceleration sensor with a measuring amplifier is used to measure the vibrations in the journal housing. The number of revolutions is measured by an optical sensor.
